So no need for walls and now I have a nice bear hunting cabin. But the rear steps, going up to the 2nd floor, are like 4 feet off the ground! Looks totally stupid.īut, for my purposes, this means neither zombies or bears could ever get on the rear stairs, making them 100% safe. The 2 front steps are right on the dirt road and are fine. I built "C" and placed it just off the street where the dirt road starts (motel side of the street).
Ran into a rather serious bug placing the cabin, though. I was expecting to build walls around the cabin. Yes, there is an existing house very close by but it doesn't seem very defendable. Total cheat, but since the only reason I built the damn cabin is because there isn't another good food source I feel totally justified! And you can continue building even when you're completely unrested. On top of the truck neither zombies nor bears can get you. Stood on top of the truck building continuously for 60 hours.

I loaded up the red pickup with like 5 lockers full of the building materials plus food. Once you place the cabin, pull your vehicle right up next to it. That way I can hang there every few days to kill & butcher a bear with someplace to run if (when) the mist comes.īTW - The cabins take forever to build, but I totally cheated. I built a hunting cabin with a bed right smack in the middle of where the only bear I know is.
